Pondering that challenging experiences in life can make us either bitter or philosophers and how suffering can make you less likely to get upset over the small stuff and moan about nothing much.
Some say that happiness is within us always and nothing can take it away. I don't know about that, its a nice theory but....
Read a quote today 'worry is like a rocking chair it gets you nowhere but the ride keeps you occupied', something like that.
So, I am not going to worry, it will get me nowhere and the ride is not the sort of occupation that is useful.
That is all, my rice and lentils are ready, I am lucky, at least I get to eat and drink. One in six people in the world go hungry.

Hey Lady, It sounds like you may have some doubts about your inner life. There are more reasons to have doubts than not. You in the full compass of being have a resonant heart which will never lie to you. It will always reveal its own deep nature when awakened to experiences which remind it of itself
Scot, I hear you.
At the moment my heart is saying 'enough, run away' but everywhere you go, you always take the weather with you, or something like that.
Its big change time for me, kids growing fast, one isn't here anymore the other has her foot out of the door.
What to do next.....
My inner life is a bit befuddled, yes. I shall give it a stiff talking to.
Hope you are well and happy.

One Corner Upward
When rising,towering white clouds
from far-off in the sky
come my way:
from a height where my
without lives are small
I'm simply un-reminded,
a simple grace they share.
I'm simply unreminded
of hurrying
and worrying away:
a place for every picture
in the endless sky,
a place for anything so different
my heart can't understand,
flown one corner upward
from the line.
We won't hardly stop to wonder,
why it took so long:
I'm reminded
it's so natural here, to be your
friend and lover.
I'm simply reminded of the picture
that we meet in
when we turn
along the upward corner.
In the cause of it
we can dissappear
and reappear,
touch down,dance again
walk upon these bridges
touch down,
it all makes sense again
I'm reminded
I'm simply reminded
by turning your upward corner.
yo jackie! glad to hear you're desensitized to the whole terror thing-lol! at any rate, stay safe! i, too, am feeling the stirrings of empty nest syndrome...I started my
art as therapy of sorts..my 16 y/o daughter,
katie, fell in ***love*** a couple of months before her
birthday (this past march), so I hardly saw her after
devoting my life to her, if you know what i mean, then
her brothers (my stepsons 26 & 22 now-i raised 'em
since 4 & 7) gave her a car for her birthday--now i
never see her! i'm happy that she is so independent,
but i was getting really afraid of empty nest
syndrome...she went away on a drama trip for a few
days & i was so busy with my art that when she came
back i was able to tell her--and mean it- that i knew
i was going to be okay when she went off to college!
whew! on another note, no more sauna, er, summer school for me! since then, i have spent every last waking moment working on my advertising business so that i can pay some bills once in a while! oy vay!
I love that song...Always Take The Weather With You, actually I think I should start a favourite songs about weaher list, because I also love I'm Only Happy When It Rains by Garbage!! xxxx I'm not a big worrier....I have a what's the worst that could happen theory which just makes me a bit of an 'oh fuck it' let's just do it person!
