i did know that, cheeky monkey! are u working on the wet-in-wet thing marilyn posted? i will this weekend, i may start my wattamelon tonight (and yes, to ease yer troubled mind, i BOUGHT one!!) lol!
I only just found that out... I was hoping to impress you with my knowledge :D
I got some hake brushes, they are so much fun but I need tubes not those little pan things, I was getting three colours at once, which is great if you are painting rainbows I suppose.
I like watermelon, can I have some when you have finished painting it? Its expensive here about $6 for a whole one. My kids love them.
I like Chanterais or Canteloupe better though, more flavour.
Mmmn, all this fruity talk, making me hungry.
How's the weather Jan, still hot? Its been ok today but its raining again tonight :(
PS. My mind wasn't troubled, I was one of the ones who said I thought it was ok to copy the picture, as long as you don't try to sell it then I think its fine and good practice. In the other group I belong to they get us to do it.
I think you can take things a bit too seriously...
wattamelons are 2/$5 here!! i am showing the process on me blog so check eet out! i know you were all for me copying the picture, but if i do, i can't post it on me blog after all THAT!! copyrights are so annoying, at my school, our copy lady is a copyright nazi--lol! i agree w/u that life is too important to take so seriously! btw, did i tell u that my mom was born in a bomb shelter in manchester during the war?
No, you never told me that! I knew you were born here and here for a while when you were small.
I have posted a copy on my blog of a painting I 'copied'. You just have to call it a 'pastiche' or 'in the style of' and credit the artist.
Don't worry so much about it, as long as its clear it was an exercise and is a copy its fine. As I said we have to do it for another group I am on. They even posted my Towne pastiche on Robert Genn's website.
Of course Mr Towne carked it some years ago, maybe thats why.....
£1.50 each for watermelons, thats a good deal, means you can paint plenty of them.
Forty something, divorced, two almost grown up kids. Artistic, creative, Cancerian, untidy, collector. E-bay buyer, dog mummy, alone a lot. Talk to the walls, probably because I am alone a lot :D
