FAME!!!!!

I had a confusing message from the owner of a watercolour list I belong to. It said she had seen my work on Robert Genn's website (he is quite a well-known Canadian artist).

Well, I went and had a look and tis true. My Towne pastiche (half done) is there, along with a letter I wrote.

Strange thing is they just came onto my blog and uploaded the picture. I had no idea they had done it. Its my first real attempt at a landscape and its half-done and I feel like I have been caught with my drawers round my ankles!

Anyway, if you would like to have a look then here is the link http://clicks.robertgenn.com/checklist.php

Amazed really. Ha Ha Ha

I shall be signing autographs presently..... ;-)

Yesterdays first visit to W. Ramblings left me with suspicions that a search for the real Robin hood continues. Not that this role is by any means to be coveted by any man, but the simple truth is that for every Robin there are at least a hundred who go about with the notion that they can do as Robin does, speak as he would, and get away without a word for it. Most don't have a clue why the search continues. They're content with something else, some sense of importance, a practical purpose, a profitable plan can't see the bit part they play or see the humor in it. It's a riddle for a deadman. What was it that gave life significance? Something about an apple tree, spring flowering, ripening fruit, and limbs sweetly snapping in the winter hearth. Well buckles, You don't want me to spoil the riddle and the rest of the telling,do you now. the awful laying bare of intentions and display?

Please accept this token of my first visit, and for letting me know that around here it's not the dogs which need to be watched out for,and so it should be.

Laughing Womans Song

Men desire to look ...

at all the space

I've hidden with my skirt.

I give away the food they've brought

to fatter women

than they thought.

I laugh and chase

away the dogs,

I call

they crawl back home,

remembering the beating

but looking for a bone.

Why not marry any wretch

that grabs on to your skirt.

You'd be surprised

what bath and church

will do for most of men.

What water will not wash away

is not an extra part,

he always was the fool

some other woman

placed inside the heart.

A little cage within the beast

and he cannot remember

who put the burning heart inside

then locked it with an ember.

Are you going to let me get away with this...................Luv Chug-a-Lug Bear

Jackie (I've got the right one this time!), That is too funny about your WIP being on another site..I must say, it looked quite good there! I told you I'd be painting "hot" pictures, what w/the A/C out and all--90 degrees in the shade...You should join the EverydayMatters Yahoo group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/everydaymatters/?yguid=176463324), in fact, I insist! Come on, then! Jan

She lights her candle and waits...

Love-spell, rose pink, bound with ribbons of gold

Green gown, green eyes

In the bower,

crown of leaves

She needs no church

all of creation is here

Earth, water, fire, air

Salt for the earth, a spell for her love

A flame to guide his way

Robin....

His name on the wind

His taste on her lips

She'll know in a heartbeat

The dogs lie quiet

Master is home
